SAYE is a Spanish sneaker brand founded in 2018 by Marta, Lizzie and Damian. Their vegan collection – which is of course exactly what you’ll find here – is ethically made in Europe using a variety of sustainable materials. One of them is discarded fruit. Yes, you heard that right! SAYE makes the most stylish sneakers from mango, corn and cactus leather. Did you know that 45% of fruit intended for consumption is eventually thrown away? Well, now they are used for sneakers. SAYE’s iconic vegan Modelo ’89 sneakers for example are made from 76% discarded mangoes. Sounds delicious!
