She has put together an insanely stylish assortment with fair clothing, bags and accessories, including jewellery and purses. All of them are vegan, sustainable and even organic. For every woman who has a nose for fashion and styling but doesn't want to compromise on her principles: the Wolf and Storm collection is a party.

Fair trade, vegan jewellery

What actually makes jewellery beautiful is the fact that nobody has suffered for it, states Marlieke. Her subtle necklaces, bracelets and earrings are therefore all made in fair trade, with beautiful materials such as precious stones and recycled silver. If you wear these gems, you also carry a lovely story with you.

For example, with your purchase you support Bombolulu in Kenya and Beads for Life in Nepal. These social enterprises behind the accessories help women in Third World countries to improve their economic situation so they can develop further and pay for education, or offer opportunities to people with physical limitations.

Collaborate with idealistic, vegan brands

Marlieke likes to work with other brands that are started from idealism. The brands that she has added to her store have responsible business concepts and almost all of them carry significant certifications. They are strictly checked to obtain these labels:

• You will find the well-known Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), which guarantees that the article is organic and that there are good social standards within the company;
• the certification for the Fairtrade Foundation and the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) that were established to minimize the inequality of world trade, to improve the lives of farmers and to improve working conditions in textile factories; 
• the Oeko-Tex standard that guarantees that no harmful chemicals have been used to produce the item;
• the Recycle Blended Standard, which guarantees that the product is actually made from recycled materials, and that this is not an empty claim from the manufacturer;
• the IVN Best Naturtextil certificate that guarantees organic cultivation, a long product life, environmentally-friendly production methods where no use is made of chemicals and environmentally-harmful additives or dyes, and also social sustainability;
• the Organic Content Standard (OCS) for products that consist of a minimum of 95 to 100% organic material;
• and the SA8000 certificate for human rights that controls humane working conditions of factory workers, combats child labour, stands for the health and safety of workers and limits the maximum number of working hours.

Green ideals: sustainability throughout the entire company

Marlieke herself does her best to do business as sustainably as possible. From day one, she hold an account at a sustainable bank and insurance company, and has opted for wrapping paper and printing paper made from recycled material. Also, every day is Warm Sweater Day for her: she would rather wear a sustainable sweater than turn on the heating. How thoughtful.
