Rarámuri was founded in 2016 by Edel from Belgium, who came up with the idea for the knotted sandals during a trip through Central and South America. The beautiful simplistic sandals with ribbons are made under safe and fair conditions in Spain and Belgium. In the Spanish factory where the soles are made, the use of water, energy, CO2 emissions and waste is kept to a minimum. The various vegan ribbons are handmade in a sheltered workshop in Belgium, by people with a distance to the labour market. You can tie your sandals in various different ways.
