Welcome to Shop Like You Give a Damn, the largest 100% vegan, fair and sustainable online shopping shop in Europe. Our marketplace offers a selection of vegan clothing, bags, shoes, accessories, homewares, make-up and grooming products from hundreds of ethical brands and suppliers for almost everyone.
Hello, we are Stephan, Kim and Alex: three enthusiasts who want to turn the shopping world upside down with their vegan start-up, a team of twenty, big plans and a healthy dose of impatience. We always say: Buy with compassion. As little as possible. But if you do buy something, make it a vegan, fair and sustainable purchase. That's what's best for all living things on earth. For our fellow animals, our fellow humans, and all future generations.
Our mission is to make compassion and sustainability the new normal by making ethical and mindful shopping really easy for everyone. That's why we founded the largest online vegan shop for fair and sustainable products in Europe. For everyone who gives a Damn.
We dream of spreading our ideas far and wide. But for that we need support. That's why we are looking for someone to join our growing team. In short, you will help us grow and increase our positive impact.
You will be part of our new German-speaking Shop Like You Give a Damn team. After the launch of our new German website, it's now time to conquer the German market.
As we centre our 5 core values around all our business operations, we strive to write in-depth articles on relevant topics surrounding veganism, fair, sustainable, inclusive and social fashion as well as cosmetics and its intersections. Next to these very important articles, you will also write the occasional light-hearted pieces like our Shop-the-Look series. One thing is for sure, we want you to sprinkle your personal flair and German word wizardry into these pieces to make them approachable and equally intriguing.
And your immaculate knowledge of the German language will also come in handy when translating (and possibly pimping) already existing English blogs for our German audience. As well as possibly translating other english copy for example for our newsletters.
As a new player in the German market, we need to pop out of the crowd and be seen by the important people for our niche in Germany. You will be a key player in that. You and our marketing manager will translate our marketing strategy to the German audience. You will work with our Google Analytics, build affiliate relationships and be centre stage for our different campaigns.
We are always open to new ideas, new flavours, new perspectives. If you have a good idea, be sure that we will hear you. Therefore, one of your tasks will also be to be critical about what you see. If you think we can improve something, adjust something for the better or just flat out try out a new direction, we want to hear it!
You are proactive and dare to take your tasks into your own hands. We know you're at the beginning of your career, but still - you share Pippi Longstocking's vision of life: "I've never tried this before, so I should definitely be able to do it."
We’ll teach you a lot - but at the same time you're not afraid to work on your own, and you dare to take the initiative without constantly being taken by the hand. You just want to prove what you can do.
We are a small team with a lot of great ideas and not enough time to implement them all. Nevertheless, we are working day and night to make our department stores' the platform for fair, eco-friendly and 100% vegan fashion and cosmetics in Europe. Of course, we won't ask you to work around the clock, but like all other jobs with us, this internship requires a certain kind of personality and a passionate attitude to really make a difference in the world with us.
The application deadline is the 15th of March, in time for you to join forces with us and start your internship in April.
Challenge accepted? Send us your CV and motivation letter to stephan@damn.shop. Any questions? We are always open to all your questions, just write to us.
