The Ecowings bags and mission statement are really something unique. With her company, founder Angela wants to make a difference by contributing to the well-being of humans, animals and our planet. She decided to team up with Kapil, an Indian designer with a passion for nature and innovation. Together, they created these extremely durable and innovative bags that are made from the inner tubes of trucks which have ended up in India’s waste stream – thus giving them a second life. It turned out that upcycled rubber is a great alternative to leather and other animal skins. Another feel-good fact: Ecowings also offers fair employment and training to a team of 20 local artisans.
