Akaru is puffer jacket inspired by the classic MA-1 bomber jacket with a modern boxy fit update.
Both the shell, lining and filling are made from 100% recycled polyester (PET).
The jacket has a ribbed collar and bottom, and the sleeve cuffs have a larger ribbing. There are gatherings on the sleeves.
There are two front slash pockets, and one on the left sleeve - all close with zipper closures.
This garment is made with materials from post-consumer plastic bottles. The plastic bottles are melted down and spun into fibers to create durable garments. This reduces soil contamination from land fill and pollution to air and water.
The lining is made by Primaloft Gold, an animal friendly alternative to down feathers whilst still providing insulation in the colder weather.
Quality wear for the next era: that’s what this beautiful Amsterdam brand – Kings of Indigo – stands for. When holding a Kings of Indigo garment in your hands, you can immediately feel the durability and quality of the mainly recycled, organic materials it’s made of. They also keep their production process transparent and hold a Fair Wear Foundation membership. So, it just might happen that this will become your new go-to denim brand!
