SKOT was founded in 2017 by Ruben van Veen who had previously worked at The Ocean Cleanup. He wondered why beautiful clothes often aren’t sustainable too. And he was ready to change that. SKOT, in Frysian, means treasure. This name highlights the need to look after everything precious. Our planet, the people around us and the things we buy and wear.
